Why what we eat is so important?

Why is eating healthy so important?

When you tell someone you have to eat healthy, what will they say to you?

A question you should be prepared for is, “what diet should I follow?”

It’s important to talk about your experience and point out that you are not following a diet but rather a lifestyle. Point out the truth that the change in lifestyle will definitely last longer than trying to stick to an unsustainable diet.

I am promoting a Whole Foods Plant-Based Lifestyle, a sustainable way of eating. Eating fruits, vegetables, grains, and nuts. Eating the rainbow, eating real food, and not processed foods. Studies show that eating a Whole Foods Plant-Based diet will prevent and reverse thousands of chronic diseases.

Why make healthier choices?

According to the CDC, poor nutrition is one of the top causes of chronic disease in the US, including cancer, diabetes, and heart disease.

Making healthy choices is a matter of self-love. One can think to oneself whether we’re eating to fight disease or to feed it.

How can you start?

You can start by planning for the week, breakfast, lunch, dinners, and snacks. The key to keeping a healthy lifestyle is planning.

With Plant-Based Erika you’ll truly be able to see how changing your lifestyle step by step will make you feel the best. I will be sharing more and more recipes giving you the opportunity to be able to know how to swap some of the regular foods we are used to eating to healthier ones.
